LOS ANGELES MUSIC FESTIVAL, JUNE 2024

Aragas Abramian is a Los Angeles–based guitarist, music producer, arranger, and music director known for blending classical, flamenco, jazz, and world music influences into his performances and productions. Inspired by his father, an accordion player, he began playing guitar at the age of 10 and later studied blues and jazz guitar for seven years under guitarist Varoosh Badalian. After moving to the United States, Aragas was further influenced by renowned flamenco guitarist Armik, under whom he continued his musical studies.

At a young age, Aragas co-founded the pop-flamenco group “Golden Stars,” which quickly gained major popularity and media attention. During a later stay in Austria, he collaborated on multiple performances and recordings, while his nylon-string guitar performances were broadcast on radio stations in Vienna, helping launch his professional career.

Over the years, Aragas has collaborated with internationally recognized artists and award-winning musicians across a wide range of genres, including Grammy, Emmy, and Oscar-recognized professionals. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and Australia, and has worked alongside prominent Persian and Armenian artists including Googoosh, Ebi, Dariush, Martik, Aram MP3, and Andre.

As both a performer and music director, Aragas has appeared at internationally recognized venues and events including Sydney Opera House, Wembley Arena, Dubai Expo, Dolby Theatre, Saban Theatre, and Gibson Amphitheatre. He has also performed alongside acclaimed musicians such as Mario Reyes, Oskar Cartaya, and Harry Kim.

Among his professional achievements, Aragas received first place in the Armenian Allied Arts Classical Guitar Competition in California and was also a member of the award-winning band “A Splinter,” recognized at the Armenian Pulse Radio Music Awards. He is currently developing his upcoming EP project, INERTIA, in collaboration with musicians and orchestras from around the world.
